...like so many solopreneur businesses do. I quit my job of 6 years as a Deputy Clerk, convinced myself that this “VA thing” could work, took that step, and set off on an adventure! & Since 2020 I’ve been an online entrepreneur.
See - I’ve always been a quick learner, creative, and adaptable person, but the typical 9-5 and being trapped in a cubicle with no windows wasn't cutting it for me. That's when I realized my true calling: supporting and empowering people and businesses I truly believe in. So, I got to work. Learning, investing, nurturing my creativity, and working towards what I really wanted to do.

How my journey began
Life doesn't always lead where you'd expect it to...
It started back in 2020, sitting at my desk overwhelmed with work, dealing with poor management, phones constantly ringing, and no break……..yet again, I was at my breaking point. I felt like I was a robot doing the same routine over and over again, From getting up to get ready for work to when I got home. I felt unhappy and uninspired… my creativity started to fade.
I’ve always wanted to do something more in my life. I loved helping people with anything that I could get my hands on and I loved learning about it as well. Creating content, organizing, planning, and managing projects, were the things that made me happy and excited. I craved that independence and I wanted to do more.
I knew I could DO more. Be more.
I wanted to have the ability to explore life outside those walls and gift the skills that I have learned over the years to business owners who needed help. So I just started researching how I could make this happen. I found out about becoming a Virtual Assistant and that’s when I finally realized what my purpose truly was.
I’ve always wanted to own my own business and that was the day I wanted to quit my job but of course, the fears and the self-doubt came rushing in. Which honestly made me say “No I can’t do this”…… but then I felt a quiet voice inside me say: "well... it doesn't hurt to try. What do you have to lose?”.
I mean… what did I have to lose? A job I hated? A lifestyle that left me tired, uninspired, and feeling hopeless? A “good” paying Job?
Or was it the fear of failure?…
THE OUTCOME…
I did it! Truthfully, I never thought I would have a job I felt so passionate about, let alone start a business. But helping my clients has been such a fulfilling journey. Now, I am not in any way close to where I envision myself being just yet. I am constantly learning, growing, evolving, and attempting to better myself as a person and as a professional. But the knowledge that I have gained along the way is absolutely priceless.
